A grossly imperfect “geometric artifact” for helping 1) grasp the functions of the features of machine parts, 2) selecting the tools - size, form, orientation and location - required for limiting their imperfections, and 3) for demonstrating and helping grasp the concepts and processes of Datum Reference Frame construction. In addition to its imperfect features, the Geo-Fact includes an integral tooling ball, the only "perfect' feature, which serves as a reliable metrology reference.
